One of Miss Hazel’s fresh blueberry muffins has vanished from the Cozy Crumb, and everybody seems to have an alibi! Junior Deputies must compare witness statements, examine the evidence, and pay close attention to the timeline to discover whose story doesn’t quite add up.
Mud, water, crumbs, a suspicious feather, and one very important observation from Rocky give young detectives plenty to consider—but no single clue tells the whole story. They’ll need to connect the evidence and decide which details matter before naming the muffin thief.
A slightly trickier case that builds observation, reading comprehension, timeline reasoning, and deductive thinking while reminding young detectives to look closer, think deeper, and find the truth.
